Urban Backpack User Review

A few weeks ago I was asked to test out the Urban backpack. Here's what happened...

A few weeks ago I was asked to test out the Urban backpack in place of my purse that I normally took to work. While I find backpacks incredibly handy at school and hiking, for work they seem bulky and not at all stylish. This was not the case with the Urban Backpack. With its floral canvas and triangle shaped design, it was hip and cool and anything but bulky. It fact the Urban Backpack paired nicely with a lot of my outfits.

Although I am a purse lover I find I run into three big problems for me when using a traditional purse. The first problem I have is not having enough room in the purse to fit all of my stuff. Now you might be saying I should pack less in my purse, but honestly I am always afraid that if I don’t pack it I will regret it later. My purse usually contains my phone, phone charger and earphones, my wallet, keys, a small bag filled with gift cards, little emergency kit along with a snack bar, a pen and notebook. While using the Urban Backpack I found that the bag had more than enough space to hold all of my things. The Urban Backpack has a wide opening at the top and a deep pouch allowing ample room to hold all of your things.

The second problem I have is when I do have a purse that is big enough to hold all of my things, it usually ends up causing shoulder pain. I prefer to wear my purse on my right shoulder. After a while of wearing the purse it will feel like the bag is digging into my shoulder, putting pressure on my shoulder and neck. Maybe you too have experienced the problem of carrying an adorable handbag, only for it later to dig into your shoulder causing pain. I do a lot of walking so I prefer to have a bag that is both stylish and functional. While wearing the Urban Backpack I found that the pain in my right shoulder went away, as the backpack distributes the weight in the bag evenly to both shoulders.

The third problem I have with traditional backpacks and handbags with the possibly for pickpocketing. Traditional backpacks sometimes have lots of pockets on the outside, allowing for plenty of space. The problem with this is that someone can easily come behind you and unzip one of the outside pockets, stealing whatever was inside. With handbags there may or may not be a zipper at the top. Although the handbag is being held by the owner of the purse close to their body, there is still the possibly for thieves to snatch the purse right out from under them. Airports and busy cities are especially at risk places for this type of theft. Due to the design of the Urban Backpack, it is pickpocket proof. The Urban Backpack has a single opening at the top, and when the bag is closed the straps of the bags are pulled up folding the bag into a triangle shape. When the bag is worn, no one can see the zipper allowing for your things not to be stolen by thieves. The only way the backpack can be opened is when the owner of the bag takes it off, pulling the straps apart, and opening the zipper.

I found the Urban Backpack to be incredibly handy when grocery shopping, as the bag allows me to have my hands free so I can carry more grocery bags.  In a pinch, it can also double as another shopping bag for smaller items. I would recommend the Urban Backpack for anyone that wants a stylish yet very practical and functional bag for everyday.
