Ultra thin wallets, zipper pouches, and sit upons.

In this Facebook live video I talk about ultra thin wallets made of leather and cork, a unique zippered pouch that didn’t make the cut for the shop, and revisit sit-upons.

Ultra thin wallets are simply amazing.  Little things that seem insignificant and perhaps not even up to the challenge of actually being a wallet, the Front Pocket wallet is a game changer.  Most men don’t carry more than a driver’s license, credit or debit card, and perhaps a few dollar bills. These ultra slim wallets are flexible enough to fit into a front pocket without being uncomfortable. I go into detail in the video and you’ll see just how slim and flexible they are. Cork is a fantastic medium to sew with. Soft, supple, and vegan!

I’ve been seeing a really cute zippered pouch on a number of sewing sites that people have been having fun sewing.  I decided to try it out and see if it would be a good candidate to add to the shop.  Watch the video to see how cute they are and all the details about why I won’t be carrying them in my shop.  I may however, have them up for a give-away in the future.  If you’d like a go at the pattern yourself, you can purchase it here.

If you were ever a Girl Scout, you know what a sit-upon is. I show off a few finished sit-upons that have been in use for years, from the beach to the bleachers.  If you’d like to make one yourself, there’s a step-by-step guide to making them on the tutorials page.
